History of the Wisdom of Healing School

The work of the little ones before the great ones is: to follow.

Ron Young was trained within the oral tradition. As a student, one would come to the teacher to receive teaching and transmission, and then—with all of one’s capacity, and the Grace of Heaven and Earth, enter internally to realize the offering received through the teacher’s spiritual reality.

The work of the little ones before the great ones is: to follow. In the following, there is no ambition or externalized imaging. There is the continuous inner heart movement of receptive embrace to the Compassion Wisdom of Spirit Within, with the trust to follow the movements given to enter, step by step, breath by breath.

Ron never created a program in the movement of ambition of what he wanted or where he wanted to go. He followed the movements of Spirit as they were given to him and went only where he was invited to give teachings. In 1983 he was invited to Montreal, Canada to offer a meditation and healing retreat. At the time he was deeply seated in the receptive, receiving teaching daily. He informed his teacher Hilda Charlton, about the invitation, saying he wasn’t going as he had nothing to say. She responded by saying “This is an invitation from The Greater Field of Life to you, not from your ambition. Go to Montreal and follow. Give your offering.” From that time forward to this present moment, Ron’s program of his “offerings” remains under the authority and guidance of the Greater Field of Life, going only where he is invited. In the movement of following, the welcoming is always one of total harmony from within the deep Heart Field of compassion-wisdom. By following, always going only where invited, the inner movement of Spirit arrives through the outer invitation of the people. In this movement The Wisdom of Healing School and the Healing Wisdom community have grown and developed into a mature body of spiritual service. Following brings great success.

The Wisdom of Healing School had its official origins during the pandemic.

When the pandemic arrived, the way Ron had been working was suddenly upended. Out of necessity and in a direct response to the movement of love of those who requested online meditations and teachings, the work continued “forward”. Ron continued to follow the movements given to offer what was now healing to the world in which we live. Thousands of people in great need and trauma arrived to weekly meditations and teachings. The meditations were simultaneously translated into seven languages.

Fortunately, the friends of The Wisdom of Healing School and of Healing Wisdom were sufficiently developed to enter deeply, not into the hypnosis of the virtual reality of the screen, the web, and the fear and hate-filled voices of the world, but into the One Reality of Life. Each participant sat deeply in the power of perseverance, the compassion of their nature, and most importantly, the Grace of Source to maintain themselves each as a locus for the Creative Intelligence, grounded in the Power of Love-Compassion to move through.

In a world marked by extreme and continuous opposition and death, each one embraced through the fullness of their nature their loved ones, their community, and the world in which they lived perceiving within all the Beloved and the Loved One.

President

Ron’s work is the product of a lifetime of investigation into the Nature of Reality, the outcome of many hundreds of hours of guided spiritual development by his Teachers, and the Grace of Spirit. For Ron the work was, and remains, a full and continuous immersion. The work is also the product of forty-four plus years of continuous service with those seeking guidance, healing, and creative visioning. Ron’s work as a Spiritual Guide is to develop those who come to him by accompanying each participant “Home- to their Spirit Within.” This movement to Self is a patient unveiling, grounded in the power of compassion. The revealed gifts and the journey are unique to each individual. There are no carbon copies of the Teacher-Guide. It is the Teacher-Guide’s spiritual duty to reveal each participant to him/herself, and to assist each in the unfolding of the gifts endowed by Spirit for their great service to the Field of Life.

Sarah Peck

Vice-President

Sarah has maintained an intensive spiritual practice for twenty years that has sustained her spiritual service and teaching. She carries deep respect for her mentors and teachers, each in their call to serve have continually offered all of themselves through their actions, the fruits of their work, and the lives they touch. This fullness of service is also how Sarah has strived to live her life, giving all of herself without reserve, and why she is drawn to the work of the Wisdom of Healing School. At Columbia University in New York City, as Director of the Spirituality Mind Body Masters Degree Program, Sarah had the courage to build the only experiential spiritual education program offered within the Ivy League universities. During her five years of directorship, the program became the fastest and largest growing masters program and was considered the crown jewel of spiritual education. Exceptional teachers, practitioners, and scholars offered experiential education in diverse spiritual modalities for developing therapeutic, healing, education, and business-oriented programs. Moving forward, Sarah completed her doctorate at Columbia University, creating a landmark research study on the art of spiritual healing. Lastly, Sarah is an adept of solo walking pilgrimages. She has walked the Shvil Yisra’el, Israel, the Via Francigena, Italy and the Camino de Santiago, Spain.

Ning Tendo

Secretary

Ning was born and raised in Cameroon and became a faux Midwesterner (Omaha) by way of New York. In her professional life, she is a strategic and digital transformation consultant with 10+ years of experience working on large scale global implementations spanning all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle as well as program management. In her personal life, she is a dancer in her heart, a dream yogi most nights, a poet with a taste for mischief early mornings and an apprentice to sorrow via her blog. Ning was introduced to Ron’s work through the Columbia University’s Masters program in psychology and has never looked back. After completing a one year spiritual healing practicum at Columbia, she went on to complete an 18-month advanced spiritual healing constellation training with Ron and numerous other training in the last 4 years. Ning is thrilled to be on the board of the Wisdom for Healing school and is looking forward to bringing her two worlds into synthesis by contributing her left brain skills of strategy and structure with her right brain skills of creativity, intuition and empathy. She would like to help propagate the grace she has received from this healing work to a wider audience.

Marta Swarthout

Treasurer

Marta was offered a glimpse of the nature of reality through a near death experience when she was a child but it wasn’t until she connected with Ron’s teachings that she began the process of stabilizing that reality in time and space. She is profoundly grateful to Ron and Sarah as well as their students for their offerings. For the last 20 years Marta has served in administrative functions for various financial firms. She recently received her certification through IACT as a Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and Past Life Regression Therapist and looks forward to moving forward in that work. Marta lives in Brooklyn and enjoys daily walks in Prospect Park.

Paulo Baia

Paulo has spent a professional career that spans 30+ years in the financial markets. He started as an investment banker overseeing trading and investments in Emerging Markets, followed by 20 years in asset management in charge of allocating resources to alternative investments. Over the past four years, he has dedicated his efforts to learning, advising and investing in cryptocurrencies. Paulo has been working with Ron for the last 6 years and is deeply committed to helping the School in its teaching and outreach efforts.

Tania Chikhani

Tania is a spiritually oriented somatic psychotherapist and executive coach with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and an MBA in Global Business and Marketing. In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, she is also a marketing specialist and organizational consultant with almost two decades of brand management and communication experience. She has managed the full path to purchase of multimillion dollar brands at Fortune 500 companies across North America, Europe and the Middle East. Her research interests revolve around the spiritual – mind – body connection and the role it plays in relationships, careers and the healing process. She has been deeply moved by Ron’s teachings since her spiritual awakening a decade ago and has profound reverence and gratitude for his work and generosity. She is humbled to serve on the board and looks forward to assisting with the school’s continued development and growth.

Erika Nelson Mukherjee

Erika is a professor, writer, and healer, inspired by a deep and lifelong love of learning, discovery, and transformation. A Germanist by training, she’s woven spirituality, creativity,poetry, and healing into her academic work. Her long standing fascination with constellation work and spirituality led her to Ron Young’s work, which took on invaluable meaning in her own life and work. A nomad at heart, she spends her time in Texas, New York, and Germany but enjoys escaping to California whenever possible. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, foreign films, and she’s always down for a good dance party.

Rasmani Deborah Orth, MA, EdD

Rasmani was born and raised in West Virginia and now lives in western Massachusetts. She received a masters in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Counselor Education from WVU. She was always drawn to body-centered practices such as yoga and running. Deborah volunteered at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health for ten years. Once on staff, she had many jobs over 40 years, but the most fulfilling was teaching psycho-educational programs with a foundation in yoga. As a Kripalu workshop programmer in 2018, she met Ron Young and was moved by the unique combination of his teachings, guidance and meditations. Two years later, she was diagnosed with “apparent cancer”. Ron and Sarah, along with Spirit and allopathic treatment, were instrumental in her healing. For fun she likes to hike/walk looking for vistas, to do yoga and read fantasy or science fiction with strong female characters.

Marcus Miller

Marcus lives in Harlem, New York City, working as a professional musician with over 25 years of experience. Due to his extensive training in mathematics and physics, he gives workshops, talks, and writes about the connections between math and music. He has found Ron’s work to be life changing. Developing a relationship with the higher movements of the creative field has been deeply impactful to all his endeavors. As a board member, he is looking forward to helping to open this field for others.

Samantha Podrebarac

Advisory Board Member

Samantha’s life is an offering to God. She lives in devotion to the unfolding path of Spirit as it is given, following the guidance of Source both in the inner evolution and in its outer expression as healing and service. Ron’s teachings lit a fire within her heart for union with Source, and this light has guided the entirety of her life path. Her sadhana blends yoga, tantra, and Advaita Vedanta, along with openings from the Christ field. She has been blessed to spend time in India, deepening her practice and receiving the grace and empowerments of various spiritual masters and holy pilgrimage sites. Samantha created Atman Spiritual Healing, a private spiritual healing practice in NYC, to offer support to her clients. Over the past decade she has integrated spiritual healing and constellation work within psychedelic medicine sessions in clinical settings including Marpa Minds NY and The New York University Center for Psychedelic Medicine. She has also offered spiritual healing to support patients in hospice care. Samantha is moved to support the growth of the school from a place of reverence to Source and gratitude to the lineage that has transmitted this sacred wisdom to the present. She is here to serve the spiritual upliftment of human consciousness upon the Earth.

Travis Carrier

Travis is a Spiritual Healer in New York City and a Certified Spiritual and Family Constellations Facilitator. He completed both International Constellations Trainings – Movements in the Field of Life with Ron Young. He also studied many years prior in Healing Wisdom’s experiential trainings and took a deep development through this work. He experiences this lineage as deeply powerful, assisting healers in many ways as they develop spiritually so that they can become clear instruments for the work. His personal journey has been to rediscover the healing potential of authentic self-knowledge through imagery, meditation, dreams, prayer, painting, and through spiritual research into different spiritual traditions of the world. In 2012, having listened to the inner voice within, he completely changed directions from being an artist to a healer with the intention to help the healing and transformation of the world both personally and globally. Travis is also an introductory teacher of dream opening and a kabbalah imagery practitioner, a certified facilitator and instructor for transpersonal hypnotherapy, and leads life-between-lives regression work. He is a spiritual healer in the traditional sense, working with people for a deep realignment on all levels of their self for a new manifestation of life. Travis has a BA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.
